Pinjian—Experience What You See.
Pinjian, a brand under Yunsheng Shengshi Cultural Media, integrates static art forms such as exquisite sculptures, paintings, and furniture with dynamic fashion displays of ethnic attire to achieve a diverse artistic exhibition combining movement and stillness. Pinjian’s offerings have steadily matured, continuously innovating to create intuitive, culturally rich, and creatively inspired artworks. Their main products currently include Chinese style fashion brands, fashion week garments, Chinese-themed sculptures, modern paintings, and ethnic furniture. Each product showcases unique craftsmanship and quality.
On October 29, Yunsheng Shengshi Cultural Media will collaborate with Gu A Xin in Xidan, a central area of Beijing, to host a cross-boundary art exhibition! This fusion of fashion and the arts will highlight the interplay between the two fields, offering an unprecedented aesthetic and cultural experience. The exhibition will mainly feature Gu A Xin’s clothing, sculptures by Yunsheng Shengshi artist Wang Jiang, and paintings by Qu Yeyang.
About the Gu A Xin Brand
Gu A Xin, founded in 2007, merges ancient and innovative concepts to represent the convergence of multi-ethnic cultural elements and ancient Eastern craftsmanship with minimalist design. Gu A Xin is a young Chinese fashion brand, embodying the Miao terms for courage, hope, and fearlessness. Its designs feature bold, exaggerated elements combined with traditional symbols, presenting them in a fresh way that brings age-old motifs to life on clothing. Iconic patterns are preserved while offering young people a new option for Chinese fashion. Chinese culture is vast, with auspicious creatures like dragons, phoenixes, qilins, cranes, and lions, each carrying profound meanings and stories.
In recent years, Gu A Xin has expanded globally, blending the aesthetics of Chinese ethnic groups and ancient Eastern craftsmanship to establish a “new Oriental Chinese elegance” style on the world stage. With over 20 stores across China, Gu A Xin has a presence in cities like Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Chengdu, Xi’an, Wuhan, Changsha, and Guiyang.
About Wang Jiang and His Works
Wang Jiang is a member of the China Urban Sculptors Association and the China Arts and Crafts Society. He graduated from Tsinghua University’s Sculpture Department with a bachelor’s degree in 2009 and a master’s degree in 2016. His publication, A Study on the Inheritance and Development of Traditional Sculpture, was released by Xinhua Publishing.
His current work includes the National Style Collection, Everything Lives, Star Language Collection, and Cloud Baby series. Notable works in this exhibition include Silent Moon on Water, Oasis, Everything Lives 4, Chasing Dreams – Spring on Grass, and Cloud Baby 1.
About Qu Yeyang and His Work
Born in 1986, Qu Yeyang graduated from Tsinghua University’s Sculpture Department and is the current Art Director at Chuang You Tian Di. In 2023, he held a solo exhibition, Wrinkles and Traps, at Cassouler Gallery in Hong Kong and previously exhibited Yonder Eternity at Goshen Gallery in Singapore in 2016. His signature works include the Blank Space oil painting series.
The Blank Space series is inspired by the East-West contrast in spatial expression. It draws from Chinese painting, where blank space is the starting point, much like Western traditional painting creates an illusionary, believable space. By manipulating the imagery and creating a “physical space” that protrudes from the illusionary backdrop, Qu builds a multi-dimensional effect, breaking the traditional spatial language to explore new possibilities in Chinese painting’s spatial expression.
A Symbol of Deep Brand Integration
This joint exhibition represents the powerful synergy and influence of both brands in their respective fields. The Gu A Xin brand, known for its meticulous design and craftsmanship, is well-received by the market, while Yunsheng Shengshi Cultural Media provides unprecedented development opportunities in the media field, leveraging extensive resources and expertise.
We are confident that this exhibition will be a journey of mutual benefit and shared success, as both parties explore new, innovative cooperation models, promoting the fusion of fashion culture with modern media to present an exciting cultural feast for consumers.
