Congratulations! Designer from Qiandongnan Miao received the Grand Prize at China International Fashion Week
Recently, the “Night of Stars” ceremony of the 2024 Autumn/Winter China International Fashion Week was held in Beijing, marking the successful conclusion of the 9-day AW24 China International Fashion Week. Representing China’s current “innovation of intangible cultural heritage and crossover of national trend,” the representative of the Chinese Miao designer brand, Gu Axin, won the inaugural “Innovation of Intangible Cultural Heritage” award of this season’s China International Fashion Week.
In this session of AW24 China International Fashion Week, leading brands from the industry gathered, bringing together 100+ fashion brands, 170+ designers from 53 countries and regions, covering all categories including men’s and women’s wear, evening wear, casual wear, sportswear, children’s wear, homewear, accessories, digital fashion, etc., showing a trend of inclusiveness and promoting international fashion and cultural interaction and exchange, revitalizing the new ecology of contemporary Chinese fashion, and promoting the upgrading of new production forces in China’s fashion industry.
The Gu A xin/GAX brand, a national brand from Guizhou, won the “Innovation of Intangible Cultural Heritage” award, becoming the only ethnic minority brand to receive this honor that evening. During the award presentation, a heartwarming scene occurred as Gu Axin, the designer of the Gu Axin brand, assisted his mother, who is over sixty years old, onto the stage to receive the award together, showing us the inheritance of affection between two generations behind the inheritance of intangible cultural heritage.
